Free Fast thick Slouchy Beanie Crochet Pattern

Decided to try and write one of my quick and easy crochet patterns for all to enjoy... Materials: This pattern is made using 2 strands of WW held together throughout, 4 ply yarn About 4 ounces total, and a US size "N" hook.

Stitches used: Magic Circle, Double Crochet and reverse Single Crochet or half double crochet.

Begin with a magic circle.

Row 1: Slip stitch into magic circle & chain 2, then 10 double crochet in circle. Join with Slip Stitch to top or chain stitch and chain 1.(10 DC)

Row 2: 2 DC in each DC & join with SL stitch into top of chain stitch, Chain 1(20 DC)

Row 3: *2 DC in next stitch and 1 DC in next stitch * repeat around with Sl Stitch into top of chain stitch CH 1 (30 DC.)

Row 4: 2 DC in next stitch 1 DC in next 2 stitches repeat around sl st into top of chain stitch and chain 1 (40 DC.)

Row 5: 1 DC in each stitch around join w/ sl stitch to chain st and chain 1 (40 DC.)

Row 6 - 12: Repeat row 5.

Row 13: You may either finish with a Half Double Crochet in each stitch and join with slip stitch to CH at end, or Finish with a row of reverse single crochet. Weave in ends when completed. Will fit an adult head and it is very stretchy.

About 22" around. You may adjust length by adding or subtracting rows and size by adjusting crochet hook. Here are pix of completed hat...
